While camping nearby, our tent flooded and we needed a dry place to sleep at the last minute. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the price was the most reasonable, so we booked it. It's nothing fancy, and kind of has a mom and pop/small business feel. Offered me coffee right away and rooms were clean- no signs of bugs or anything like that (and i checked.) So we were very happy with our stay.

This place is a cozy little nest. I was here for one night when I visited Letchworth state park. The owner is super friendly and the check in check out is smooth. He offered us some breakfast (donuts, fruits and coffee) early morning at 6am also there was filtered drinking water available at reception. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean and well maintained, the ambience was old school but cozy. All in all superb place for few bucks, would recommend!!

Called around 10P for a room. One was available. Gentle that answered was very nice. Gentleman that checked me in was super nice. Affordable, clean rooms, quiet atmosphere, had tv, fridge, nicely made extremely beds, coffee or tea, towels, shampoo, lotion, etc. The room smelled refreshingly clean. Lodge hallway has stagnant cigarette smoke smell due to cigarette smoke coming in from outside. No bedbugs!!! Definitely would stay there again. This part of NY still is a small town personality: warm and welcoming. There are many small towns within a 7 to 10 minute drive. Remember to checkout Machias Surplus store in Machias, NY. Davis Funeral Home has the very best flowers and will make bouquets to go for any occasion. The cost is same as at Tops and Surefine grocery stores. Custard store nearby. Near and very hidden bakery shop in Arcade, NY: Cake Eaters Bakery. Call in advance. Lakes: Harwood Lake, Line Lake, Case Lake, Rushford Lake, etc. visit Lackawanna to tour the Erie Canal.

Every other hotel in the area was 120 plus it's definitely isn't a five-star hotel room but it's clean The towels were nice The guy up front was great It was less than half the price of all the places in the area and had a very homie vibe you could tell the owner takes pride in it The beds were comfortable and the hot water got hot Will definitely stay here again if I work anywhere else in this area my kinda place

This is a rare gem we uncovered. The room itself is perfect. Clean, romantic, spacious, hotel amenities, plenty of pillows and comfortable bed. Everything works as it should. Quaint little town nestled away but close to all. Great experience overall. My wife was with me, but I enjoyed my stay anyway ;)~

Never seen an owner so friendly in all my life. The rooms are simple, but good and functional. You can see that there is care applied to the hotel. Would definitely come back

Got a last minute room later at night and had no problems at all, still got fast and friendly service. Rooms are cozy and inviting, beds are comfortable and clean. Great place to stay for the price, got what we paid for and then some.

Absolutely love it, it’s such a cute and quaint hotel!! The owner is so kind and helpful, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, and there are no bugs or anything that would make the room “gross”. I could smell the detergent on the sheets so I know that they’re cleaned after use, and the owner even recommended us a place to have breakfast in the morning. Perfect stop for a great price. Stayed at a 4 star hotel and their beds weren’t nearly as comfortable as Chaffee’s🫶🫶

Cozy little unassuming motel. Clean and quiet with a very friendly gentleman at the front desk. I reserved online and ended up checking in later than expected around 8:00 p.m. I was told that it was no problem and I check me in quickly and was shown to my room within minutes. The front entrance did smell a little Smokey like people smoke just outside, but once I was in the room you couldn't smell it all and it was very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The TV was nice with directv... The room had a microwave, fridge and a sitting table. This morning the shower was very refreshing... The water pressure was good and the water was very hot, the towels were clean and soft just like the bed. Will definitely be back again when I'm in town again. Thx Jerry
